Justin Haigh Opens For Brad Paisley @ AquaPalooza 2010

Austin, TX - July 10, 2010. This past weekend Justin Haigh won the 2010 AquaPalooza Battle of The Bands and got the chance to open for Brad Paisley. Justin competed against 7 other local bands, including the Rankin Twins, Doug Warriner and His Only Band and The Bill Rice Band among others. Justin was selected the winner by a panel of celebrity judges including David Anderson from KVET, Kathy Armistead, VP of the William Morris Agency, Sandra Greaney, owner of Country Line Magazine and Gary Blake, a country music columnist. The event that was sponsored by Sea Ray and Austin’s own Sail & Ski, was held on the shores of Lake Travis. It drew more then 30,000 people in over 4,000 boats locally and was broadcasted to over 100 locations around the world. The event in all drew more then 84,000 people, three times the size of the inaugural event in 2006. The event was free but the only access was by boat or personal watercraft.

Justin Haigh was selected to be the first opening act for Brad Paisley on Saturday. The line-up also included Jerrod Niemann, Lee Brice, Joanna Smith and Matt Stillwell. It was the biggest crowd Justin had ever played for but you wouldn’t have known it while watching his set. He put on one of the best shows all day and was a huge hit among the crowd; Justin said, “I had a GREAT time!!! I love playin’ in Texas! Great crowd, great venue and I’m just thankful to be a part of it all.” Justin’s current single, “People Like Me,” is #40 and #43 on the Texas Radio Charts and his debut album on Apache Ranch Records is due out later this summer.
